This logo, for Brenda Wright of Handcraft Haven, has to be one of my favourite logos that I've ever made.
Brenda was going to have a kiosk in the mall selling fabric, yarn, and craft supplies; but she wanted to open a store downtown in the new year. As an entrepreneur, I totally get her ambition and the emotions that come with such a big dream.
When she approached me about getting a logo made up, she already had the idea of a needle and thread. This was freeing, as it allowed me to focus on style.
It was an crafty place for artistic people, so the logo needed to be artsy. This lead to the unique lines, shading, and layout. Then we injected the highlight (and complementary) colour of orange for a burst of energy and creativity.
Check Brenda and Handcraft Haven out in downtown Swift Current, SK. She's just a couple doors down from Urban Ground - across from Home Hardware on Central Avenue.
