In 2018, I was nominated by members of the Swift Current business community for the 'Start-Up/New Business of the Year' Business Excellence Award. Unfortunately, I wasn't technically eligible yet, as the business had to be a full year running, and I was a few months short of that.
I became determined to somehow still win an SCBEX Business of the Year award. Fortunately, my parents, owners of Great West Auto Electric/Bumper to Bumper, had upgraded to Bumper to Bumper and built a new location in the past year. All my hopes were on them winning 'Medium Sized Business of the Year'; and they did! So I promptly stole their trophy for photos.
I now have aspirations to legitimately win an SCBEX award of my own someday.
I suppose I should mention that my design work was well represented at the event. I designed the Great West Auto Electric logo, The Landing Studio logo (nominated for Small Business of the Year), and I had designed the SCBEX awards schedules.
